Tecno has unveiled two new smartphones under its premium Phantom series—the Tecno Phantom X2 and the Phantom X2 Pro. Both the newly launched Tecno smartphones are fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. The Pro variant of the series is purported to be the first to incorporate a retractable portrait camera. Let us take a closer look at the pricing, specifications, and features of the newly launched Tecno Phantom X2 and the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro smartphones.
Tecno Phantom X2, Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Pricing And Availability
In Saudi Arabia, the Tecno Phantom X2 is priced at SAR 2,700 (approximately 59,000). On the other hand, the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro costs SAR 3,500 (roughly 76,700). As for the hue variants, the Phantom X2 Pro appears in Mars Orange and Stardust Grey colour options. The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is available in Moonlight Silver and Stardust Grey hues. Both smartphones will go on sale in the coming weeks.

In terms of specifications, the Tecno Phantom X2 features a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The smartphone comes equipped with a Dimensity 9000 processor, which is coupled with an 8GB of LPDDRX RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the Phantom X2 launches Android-12 based HiOS 12 out of the box.
For photography, the smartphone offers a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide angle camera with a macro mode, and a 2MP depth sensor. The device features a 32MP front camera for photographs and video conferencing. Speaking of the battery, the Tecno Phantom X2 is propelled by a 5,160mAh battery with support for 45W rapid charging.
As said earlier, the Tecno Phantom Pro is said to feature the world’s first Retractable Portrait lens. The lens have a very brilliant f/1.5 aperture, which enables more light to reach the primary sensor. A wide aperture and a large sensor hence creates a reduced depth of field and a natural haze. The portrait lens on the smartphone is long enough to be used as a telephoto lens with 2.5x magnification.

The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro features a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide angle camera, which also functions as a macro camera. Similar to the X2 model, it has a 32MP front camera for video conferencing and photographs. In terms of display, the device offers a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is a Dimensity 9000 processor, which is coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
